Hello again,
As we promised, we wanted to share some stuff with you that we weren't able to get done before. The first is a map of our trip. (Note: at the very top of the "circle" the water you see is Mono Lake National Wildlife Refuge. It is huge!!! And was purchased by the city of Los Angeles in the early 1900s. We've got some good photos and videos and, hopefully, we can share them with you at a later time.)
And here are some photos from Las Vegas. The first shows "Paris" one of the fancier places on the strip.
And, some of the many statues that adorn Caesar's Pallace. I'll also try to come back and add some videos of the inside. It's pretty spectacular.
And here are some additional views of the desolate, "lunar landscape" in Death Valley
The lowest point in North America is in the "Badwater Basin". Two hundred eighty two feet below sea level. I've gotta tell ya...... it was warm here.
And here, on the salt flats, Linda and Sherwood accuse me of attempting to parch, parbroil or otherwise fry them in the slightly warmish Death Valley air - temperature around 113.
Of course, after parching everyone like that it is only fair that we provide a cool drink of water to cool off with. Here we are standing at the foot of Bridal Veil Falls in Yosemite where we can also turn to our left and see the majestic Yosemite Falls.
We've added a "ton of megabytes" so we'll give the Blogger folks a break and stop for now. But - we've still got a couple of cameras to go. We hope you enjoy these.
